21st Century Classrooms

21st century classrooms are student centered and the teacher acts as a facilitator.  In the classroom there are multiple learning centers and various hand-on activities.  The desks are not positioned in rows, but in small groups of three or four.  This will help students with social and collaborative skills.  Today, students are growing up with technology, and it only makes sense that our classrooms will utilize different types of technologies.  Some of these technologies include: computers, smart boards, and I-Pads.  As teachers we can use technology as a tool in our classrooms. Also, our classrooms are becoming more and more diverse.  Teachers can use this diversity to create a classroom community and get to know what makes each student unique in their own way.
